Disastrous Week Part 3

After she had breakfast, doctors kept under observation in the ICCU of Durgabhai Deshmukh hospital. We all waited till the doctors made call. Meanwhile, I went to home, did all the things like turning off the geyser, few kitchen changes as ordered by my aunt, as she left out things as they were while preparing for a festive-lunch. I went home, arranged the things at home well and finally came back to hospital. We had a good news there, that my mother was going to be discharged at 04:30 PM that day, provided she must maintain her sugar levels properly. My dad arrived to hospital at 03:00 PM, when Dr. Balaji was treating my mother.

My mothers blood sugar levels were varying, which meant that she had to stay there for a day more. She didn't want to stay, but my aunt, who was with the doctor forced her to stay because we faced a terrible situation earlier in the day and we were all afraid of taking chances. Meanwhile, my dad met my mother, they talked for few minutes, after which the things were pretty clear and we planned for the rest of the time. I deserved rest badly, for which I straightaway said that and decided not to go out of home the next day- the day of her discharge. My father agreed to stay back there in ICU for the whole night, with me going the next day morning for couple of hours after which my aunty, uncle and brother would take care of her.

Things went as we planned, nothing went wrong, for the next two days. She was discharged the next day, and we had a good Sunday as well. The next day being Independence Day, I was busy with Raja Rajan and Bhargav, two members of Youth Cultural Association of our apartment, for the arrangements of hoisting of flag. Things went well, till Monday afternoon! The flag hoisting ceremony was celebrated perfectly, which was followed by talks regarding the Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations in our Apartment. After sometime, I was back to home, had some lunch and then Kaustub, a friend of mine, called me for Cricket. We were playing cricket at our cellar, when my uncle came down shouting me to get back as........
